OMAHA BEACH D-DAY DIORAMA
French Artist and Modelmaker, Manu Alteriac, recreated with great precision the SS Jeremiah O'Brien's shoreline position and cargo offloading while at Omaha Beach during the D-Day Normandy landings of Operation Overlord.

Notice cargo holds No. 1 and No. 2 are open. The forward gun platform shows a 3” 50-caliber naval rifle. During the war the O’Brien had another 3” 50 on the aft gun platform.

The No. 5 cargo hatch is open. A 5” 38-caliber wartime gun is erroneously displayed on the aft gun platform, though one currently resides on the O’Brien.

This is the source image of the actual scene at Omaha Beach from which this historic diorama was constructed.
